One is for the 18 mm probe and the other is the 12 mm probe. UPDATE: : I have added some additional mounts for the EZABL probes. UPDATE : I have added the Hemera mount for the BLTouch using a Volcano hot end. They don't have to be super tight, You WILL break the tabs on the stepper motor where the nuts slide into if you are not careful. WARNING! IMPORTANT! DO NOT tighten the screws very tight. I have also allowed for the proper depths of the mounting screws. Also, I have adjusted the various thicknesses of the screw holes to accommodate the sizes of the heads of the screws. There are other brackets that only allow the use of 3 screws. UPDATE : I have tweaked the dimensions of all of the brackets to allow the use of all 4 screws for the mounting of the Hemera motor. When attaching part cooling fans, bed levelling sensors or mounting from the side with the fan exhaust, be mindful not to restrict airflow.īlocking the heatsink exhaust will reduce airflow which can lead to heat creep and jamming of the extruder.ġ2.I have recently received an E3D Hemera Extruder and decided to create my own mounts for BLTouch, EZABL and the Standard Creality X Carriage. The result of using M3 x 10mm screws with the same 5mm mount.ġ1. We’ve even seen flexible materials printed at 3D printing speeds standard for rigid. Image showing Hemera correctly secured to a 5mm mount with the supplied 8 mm M3 screws.ġ0. The Hemera incorporates one of the shortest and most constrained filament paths we have seen produced for a 3D printer extruder, which works in tandem with the 3:1 gear ratio dual drive gears to provide supreme grip and control over 3D printing filament. Using screws that are too short won't damage anything, it just won't be able to fasten the screw into the square nut.ĩ. If you are wanting to counterbore the screws make sure the distance from the back of the mount and the counterbore shoulder is 5mm when using the supplied M3 x 8mm screws. Using a mount thinner than 5mm with the supplied 8mm screws result in damaging the T-slots. Using screws longer than 8mm with a 5mm thick mount will result in damaging the T- slots. lining up the clearance hole in the mount with the threaded holes of the square nuts.Ĩ. Place the mount on the backside of Hemera. The backside is the side with the drive gear visible. I nsert x2 M3 square nuts into the empty T-slots on the backside of Hemera. Ideally, Hemera is fastened using x4 M3 screws, however, the minimum requirement is x2 screws diagonally positioned on the backside.ĥ. It’s 92g lighter and 11mm shorter than classic Hemera, so it can move faster on your 3D printer’s motion system with less inertia, reducing print artefacts such as ghosting. Revo Hemera XS is a compact dual-drive extrusion system. Screws should stick out from the mounting plate 3mm +/-0.25mmĤ. Rated 5.00 out of 5 based on 1 customer rating. The screws must protrude 3mm0.25mm from the mounting surface to go into the T-slots. If mounting on the right, ensure that sufficient space is left for airflow. Shown here is a 5mm thick mounting plate using the supplied M3 x 8mm screws. Typically Hemera is mounted onto the left side, as the air from the heatsink cooling fan exits on the right. Double-check before proceeding that you are using a suitable length screw for the mounting plate thickness used. This is how to correctly measure a screw.ģ.
